Hi Gurus:

Just wondering. Does BCIS update the case status to something like ' FP request sent' after they send letter for FP2.
Just asking this because I moved and have no correspondence from BCIS after the move. Sent AR11 1 year back.

RD : Sept 2002
FP1 : Oct 2002
AR11 sent July 2003
EAD2 : Oct 2003 - Sent to old address. Forwarded to new address
EAD3 : ???
AP2 : ??
After that no correspondence from BCIS

Thanks

anybody.. Please guide..

Gurus. Is there any other thread for this? I will visit. Please point me to the right place.

Thank You!

Your immediate first step is to call this number 1800-375-5283 (NCSC) get updated for your and your wife(if u are married, remember your wife needs to be with you). i don't think we can rely on AR-11. ( atleast in my case it happened). AR-11 is needed by law to inform the govt. Aboce NSCC number is to update your address for your I-485 case.

BCIS sends a document to you and one to your lawyer also for FP request. Please check it with you lawyer.

Thanks

It seems that doesn't always get updated.
It did not get updated for my wife or me.

For me, there was an RFE so that inormation was updated. For my wife, there is no update even after we did the 2nd FP(4/9/2004)

For me and my wife, no update after it was sent out.

Our status after FP2 did not get updated either.

Regarding address change - We moved and did file AR-11 and also called the NSC and updated, but the USCIS sent the FP2 notice to the old place anyways!!! Luckily the lawyer received a copy of the notice. We called NSC again and by the time our scheduled appointment date arrived, they re-sent it. However, when we went for FP2, the system still had our old address!!! So even after informing them SO MANY TIMES t(AR-11 and calling NSC TWICE) they never updated it (although they said they did on the phone) till we physically made the FP guy do it when we went to for FP2!! However, lawyer always gets a Cc so thats a saving grace, but the inefficiency is appalling!

notsolucky,

For change of address, you need to do the following.

1) Send AR 11 forms to London, KY address.

2) Send a letter requesting change of address with a copy of AR 11 and note all the receipt numbers and A # in it. Send this letter to service center where your applications are pending.

3) Call 1-800-375- LATE and inform the change of address, keep all the receipt numbers and A# ready while calling. Your spouse should be available when calling to change addrees by phone, if you are married.

You will receive official letter from USCIS saying that your address has been changed on your request. You will get this letter after one month or so.

Good luck...
