Please, can anyone answer?

Hey Guys,
Can Anyone Tell Me How Long Takes To The Uscis To Send You A Confirmation Number Or Something Like That After They Receive The Green Card Application And Fee? I Sent My Application With A Personal Check, The Checks Have Been Cashed Already, About 2 Weeks Ago, But I Didnt Get Any Receipt Yet. Is That Normal? Thank You!

it can takes 2 weeks or it can be lost in mail .. but what i did is i got a copy from the check after they deposit it and at the back of the check i found a lot of stamps one of them was my application number starting with LIN****** . you can do that if ur bank send a copy from ur check either on line or in mail.
then u can use this number in checking ur case stauts on line.

all what u need is that number

Asilum-NY, as far as i remember while calling 1800 number and playing with different options, there is an option for those who believe they shoulb've received the notice of action, but haven't received it. As far as i remember - it's after 30 days. If it's been more than 30 days since you check is cashed ( that's how we know they've got it for sure), try ro call and ask them. Or, better yet, try to check with people who change the adress on the phone - they might update your adress just in case there is a mistake. Good luck, keep us updated.
 
Hey my friend, if you look on the back of the check ,through online banking, you can see the receipt # for sure, that's how I always do when filing application with INS...good luck.
 
I did order a copy of my checks already because the copy online is not clear, now i dont know if i should call USCIS or wait the 30 days like Charlize think its. Anyway thank you all very much for your answers! I will keep you posted!
 
wait because they will tell you sir it is not 30 days yet ..
and if you got the number u really don't need it. but if u really this kind of person who like to keep recordes and copies from every single paper u should have it. and wait for your finger print notice which will be after a month from applying for I 485.
