Does anyone know what "immigration 101" means ?

Hi,
I had one of the immigration officer told me "immigration 101". I wasnt quit understand what he really means ? One of my friend lied about he going to US, then he took him for investigation after severl hours
he gave his visa back and told both of us "immigration 101". We wernt doing any bad stuffs or anything...I think the officer got mad because my friend lied. Can anyone tell me what kind of effect this would have on me as a TN-1 visa holder and how would this affect my fried who liied.

Its kind of a slang term, meaning its a simple and basic rule of the subject. eg 2 + 2 = 4 is so basic that if someone makes an error on it, the reply would be "you\'d better go back and take math 101. Or H2O for water is so simple, it should be covered in Chem 101. If you all made some silly mistake with an immigration matter, you should take the basic course of Immigration 101. He was being a smart alec.

As to the consequences, don\'t know.
