All Sr GC holders/Citizens

Does anybody's got any q/s or trouble because of employment q/s on citizenship application. I beleive, it asks for employment history after GC at the time of citizenship application. Most of GC holders must have changed job after 1 months/few month/years after getting GC. Does CIS officer has bothered anybody on that information?? Or does anybody got RFE or anything sort like that for this purpose. Please post any experiences. Thanx

I have passed my interview just last week. They never asked anything on my employment history. Only thing they asked is that information on my current employment which has been changed or not since I filed N-400.

Do you have to submit "employment history" after GC at any point in citizenship process??

Yes. On form N-400 they asked you where have you worked in last 5 years. But it doesn't affect your case if you have gaps in between.
Why you are so concern about it? Is there any specific problem you want to discuss?
I have changed many jobs in different states during this period.

My concern is "does CIS officials cares how soon GC holder changed his job after getting GC??". This is a debated topic in "Life after GC" forum. I would like to know does CIS cares at the time of citizenship,if somebody changes job within month/few month/yr after getting GC?? Does CIS officer has bothered anybody on that information?? Or does anybody got RFE or anything sort like that for this purpose

Usually they dont bother. If your case is straightforward otherwise, dont worry. In the US people always change jobs. As long as you did not quit the week after you got your GC or so, you usually wont be asked questions.

A good rule of the thumb is to switch 6 months after GC!

Is there anybody on this forum got in problem or heard anybody in problem because GC holder changed job within month/few months after GC. In other words, if somebody haven't followed "good rule of the thumb by Rahul Kumar " (mentioned above in quotes), got in any trouble with CIS at citizenship or any stage.?? As well if anybody got in trouble with CIS based on employment history for any reason, Please post details

According to my interview experience, it doesn't matter. There are thousands of house wives who goes for Citizenship. Unless your not being a public charge, you are ok.

Well,
No flaming will be tolerated by any member in this forum!

So How you tolerate previous posts by JoeF on this thread??? Its your or JoeF rule of Th(d)umb is not law. Everybody wants to know real experiences and thats why I posted here, but until now nobody claimed that anybody been in problem because of not following such non-existant rule.... So wait for responses, I didn't contradicted your opinion, So don't take any side unwarrantedly. OK

Why are you so touchy ? I said that no member will be allowed to flame here. Thats it. You automatically assume that you are flaming! The rule is *NOT* non existant. Almost every member here is mature and professional. The 1% that are not get banned or ignored.

As far as I can see JoeF has been the most valueable member in this forum and others- not just to me but to others. He does have a bit of a temper but I dont think he flames anyone!

And why you are with such preconceived attitude?? I didn't say that you are taking side.. Did I? I just asked "not to take side in future" unwarrantedly.

We don't care whats your opinion about JoeF. Keep it between urself and JoeF. Everybody wants to hear "real experiences" about immigration issue posted on this thread. So keep your personal feeling away and let all members share their experiences.
