Does Amsterdam need a Transit visa?

I am planning to travel in DEC-JAN'06 to India through Amsterdam (KLM Airlines). I have checked with the consulate, they said I don't need a transit visa if my transit is less than 12 hours.

Any experience before?

My 485 is pending, H1 stamping expired(holding valid H1B ext papers), have AP.

I travelled thru Amsterdam in March-April 2005 thru North West and KLM. No transit visa needed.

I am planning to travel to india dec-jan, i have applied for my AP but have not received it, can you please let me know how soon you received your AP after u applied for it. i called netherland consulate they dont need trasit visa

I got AP in 30 days to 45 days it took for me. (not sure about exact days). I have applied AP in NSC
