I filed my 485 under EB3 category. I recieved an interview call and my 485 was approved 2 months ago but my dependents files were not along with mine. We recently interview an interview call for my dependents as well but the local INS office transferred their files to a different location so they had to order the files again. Mean while I was informed by the immigration officer that since the Quota for this year is already exhausted they wont be able to get their green card till October anyway.
I have two questions.
1) Do dependent 485's considered under the years quota or only the primary applicants are counted against the yearly quota.
2) If we get the interview call rescheduled for my dependents in end of August what the likely hood for them getting the GC in October. In other words how are they affected by quota?
