Documents to take for USCIS interview

Many are asking about this recently - here is an earlier post from the forum:

Did anyone recently get asked for the SSN card? the above post lists the SSN as well:

[8] Social security card: In one of recent cases, USCIS has asked an applicant to show her social security card to verify her social security number that she put it on the application. Again, officer does retain the right to ask for it since it is one of the information that you provide on your Naturalization application.

I am amused that people struggle and throw away good money to collect non essential documents and then fail to carry the SS card which is lying around the house!

Btw, I was also asked for my SS card by the IO and I had the original with me. I think the IO wanted to confirm my spelling or middle initial or something.
