Documents to be furnished for stamping

Hi
Please advise regarding the following queries:

1) I-129 - does it needs to be only furnished with a blanket petition? (Also tell what is a blanket petition )....

2) Do we need any photocopies of the original documents? The website doesn't tell about the photocopies of the original documents. It only tells about the original documents. If photocopies are needed, how many do we carry with us - 1 or 2 for each document?

3) regarding the form DS-156- back to back printout needs to be taken-is this mandatory? What about DS-157 - print format?

4) What othet special items like business cards or pay stubs- are these asked? Please tell if any other thing is asked other than mentioned on the website.

5) Also tell if these ppl ask for negatives of the photographs submitted to them.

---- Check other posts in the forum for blanket petition, but I-129 should be with you to show to the VO in case they request

---- Original documents only. If the VO needs copies they make it themselves. Carry one photocopy of all your documents just to have them in person

3) regarding the form DS-156- back to back printout needs to be taken-is this mandatory? What about DS-157 - print format?

---- Yes, it is mandatory as many a times people have been asked to fill out and print it out back to back (if not always). DS-157 comes into 1 page and an additional page is printed out if you were given visas earlier and things like that for certin fields on the form

---- No, business cards please - you are not marketing anything. Pay stubs - yes; W2 forms and evidence of you filing the taxes for 1040 (although many a times all these are not asked, but when you don't carry that is ehn they ask). A letter from your employer stating that you are currently on their pay roll

5) Also tell if these ppl ask for negatives of the photographs submitted to them.

---- No negatives of photographs, only the photograph stuck on the application form (carry a few more if you want to)

1) In case you are not working in US, do we still need to give tax return copies like Form 16.

2) Also which forms do i ned to ask from company applying my petition: Form I-797 and I-129? In case they do not give I-129 should i insist?

3) Also do they (VO) ask for copies of your resume (CV) ?

Q2 - You have to ask for I-129, they are supposed to give you a copy. Also, ask for LCA, it is an important document and it is the law that the candidate be given a copy.

As for DS-156, if you fill in the electronic version of the form, you DO NOT have to print back-to-back. The form will print out in 3 pages, the third page containing the special barcode.
