Documents for SSN Application for L2 w/i EAD

Hi,

I am on L2 spouse visa and recently received my EAD. I wish to apply for SSN now because everyone asks for my SSN when I apply for a job.
Could someone tell me what documents I need to furnish at the SSA office when i go to apply for SSN? Are they needed in Original or copies?
