Documents for proof of family ties

I'm trying to get my cousin to visit me in the US. He wishes to show his parents as dependents (family ties) due to which he will be returning back to India. What kind of documents would prove this?
What other documents will he need to show that he will be returning?

Practically speaking just having dependent parents does not qualify as a convincing argument for proving strong ties to India. If the applicant is educated, young and single then the chances of getting a visitor visa are pretty remote. What is your cousin's personal background? What are the reasons for his visit?
If there is a specific reason to visit US (for example exploring business ties in the US) then there is a chance.
