Documents for Naturalization interview

When we go for our naturalization interview - can we carry the documents that we take with us in a bag (like a regular office or laptop bag)? It may sound a stupid question - however whenever I have gone to the US Embassy in India for my different visas- they never allowed normal bags (they wanted just plastic carry cases or plastic shopping bags)? For Naturalization interview in the US - is it ok to take documents in a laptop bag or a office bag?
What have others done?

Most any bag should be ok (I'll be x-rayed on the way in to the bldg), but there are frequently restrictions on what kinds of electronics devices you may bring in. Typically no cameras and either cell phones turned off, or sometimes not allowed period. Not sure about laptops specifically.
