I am applying for home loan and mortgage company is asking a guideline or document which shows that EAD is renewable provide I-485 is pending. If you can paste a link to where I can find such guideline let me know.

I am not sure whether such a document is available online. Even if you don't you should be able to get such a letter from you immigration attorney.

My .02c

look for a mortgage company that doesn't care about ur immigrant status. Trust me there are many like Penfed or ING. Mortgage loans have to be given solely based on ur credit history and employment history and status. They shouldn't ask for ur immigrant status. Many of my friends were given higher rates and the reason was that they were not permanent residents. This is illegal, unlawful and is discrimination based on residency status.

According to the lender, it is illegal to discriminate against nationality, but not immigration status. Mind you.

Try some other mortgage company

I purchased a home last year. Shopped around for mortgages with banks/ financial services companies. Finally settled on with Countrywide.

None of these companies wanted to know about my immigration status. I would voluntarily tell them about my status and they were "Fine, thank you." The only thing they wanted was that I had more than 2 years of credit history and continuous employment for more than 2 years.

how about if you change to 1099 from W-2

What happens if you switch to 1099 from W-2 recently. Your 2 years thing is gone and not sure how this is handled by Mortgage companies.

Any comments or experience on similar cases!!

Thanks in advance for the help. Sorry to post unrelated to portal but got temptation to ask on this thread.

I doubt if there is an "official" link that mentions what you want.

Here's one link (Go to the end of page to the section Renewal EAD)
http://www.immihelp.com/immigration/employment-authorization-document.html

You can mention about the conditions for getting an EAD (applicant for AOS) and show that you are eligible (I485 receipt).
http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/ead.htm

If you have renewed EAD before, you can show those as proof.

Beyond this, ask them to get lost :)

Goodluck
