Document list for N400? Very confused

Hello,

I am very confused about what documents/evidences I should submit with N400. Please note that I am referring to the N400 form, not the interview. I browsed some old posts but got very confused. My case is a straightforward case, based on 5 years green card which is then based on employment. Based on my understanding, I only need to submit the following WITH N400 FORM:

1) Check
2) 2 Photos
3) copy of GC

and nothing else.

I understand that for the interview, I will need to prepare much more. However, for N400, are those the only things that I need to submit? Having been through the paperworks for 140 and 485 applications, I almost cannot believe it is this simple and want to make sure.

You need to submit only the three things that you have listed above. In order to get a clear idea, check out the Document Checklist given at the end of the Guide to Naturalization document. If you have undergone a name change after you became a permanent resident, then you need to provide proof of the court order that solemnized the name change. In the same way, there are specific other requirements based on your situation.
