Do any of you know what Part 7 and Part 8 are these two statements referring to? These statements are from "Document Checklist" portion of the Guide to Naturalization -

If you answer “Yes” to any of questions 1 through 15 in Part 7, send:
q A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.
If you answer “No” to any of questions 1 through 5 in Part 8, send:
q A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.

Also, what is the current fees for Naturalization process? Is it $400 or $390?

Some people say it is $400 whereas the Guide says it is $320 + 70 = $390.

Unfortunately the instructions are outdated.

If you answer “Yes” to any of questions 1 through 15 in Part 7, send:
q A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.
Answer: This refers to Section 10 (Additional Questions) -- Sections A -- G (Questions 1 thru 32) on the N-400 form.
For Question 33 (Section G) answer appropriately.

If you answer “No” to any of questions 1 through 5 in Part 8, send:
q A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.
This refers to Section 10 (Additional Questions) -- Sections H (Questions 34 thru 39) on the N-400 form.

The current fees for the N-400 is $400.00 NOT $390.00. Send one check for $400.00 (Payable to US Department of Homeland Security), along with your application.
