Docs required for H4 stamping.

atleast these documents - maybe more
1) Copy of I-797, I-94, I-129, LCA (you can get it from your employer)
2) Letter from current employer requesting consulate for H4 visa. Make sure that this letter includes your duties, period of work with them and current salary.
3) Pay stubs of last 6 months. or if you have more with you, please include them.
4) W-2 forms for the years of stay in US.
5) 1040 IRS forms. You usually fill this out, at the time tax returns. Find those copies. And tag them against to each W-2 form
6) Work Place Photographs (at least 15 of 5X7 size). Make sure that your photographs have some with local Americans.
7) If possible get letter from clients Manager, stating your conduct you are currently working for them as contractor. (This is not possible in all cases, but give a try for this)
Leasing agreement from current residence.
9) Last six month telephone bills. (Your Mobile phone is also fine). If you dont keep them with you, call respective telephone company and get them, they may charge you few bucks.
10) Photographs of the residence. (10 No’s of 5 X 7 size)
11) Photo copy of client place Identification card.
12) Bank statements (that shows your annual average, account details and etc.,) regular monthly bank statements.
13) At least 10 co-workers contact details like email id, phone numbers.
14) Copies of all your educational credentials and experience letters.
15) Original Marriage certificate
16) Recent Job letter from the employer and also experience letter from the current employer.

I guess you will need the spouse's H1 papers, marriage certificate and some photographs showing the marriage ceremony.
besides these, you will need the drafts( it used to be 2 drafts, check the amounts and number from consulate or USCIS website.)
Though not required but I guess it does help if you show the H4 applicants degrees and marksheets if she has had a good degree.
