Hi
Could anyone please tell me what papers / docs do we need to take with the 485 approval notice / courtesy copy when going to Newark INS office for passport stamping.

You need to take

1) I 485 approval Courtesy Copy
2) Passport
3) Your EAD's ( if you have any )
4) Advance parole ( if you have any)
5) 2 ADIT photos

ADIT photos ....

They are green card photographs and NOT passport style photographs.

These are called ADIT style photographs.

Go to immihelp.com and then go to I485 section, there you will
find information on how these photos should look like.

One question though. If we submit our EAD card, how is a person going to produce a valid document for work eligiblity. Does the passport stamp indicates that the person has a Green Card and is allowed to work till he gets is plastic card.
OR what exactly does the passport stamp says.
 
Stamp in passport ....

Hi,

The stamp in the passport says that, this is a temporary evidence
that the person is both permanent residence and is eligible for
work authorization.

Along with stamp they will write your A# and EAC # as proof.

The date of validity for the stamp is usually one year, but you would get your actual green card before that.

Courtesy copy for stamping

Hello,

Can we use the courtesy copy for stamping or do we need to use the original copy that the attorney receives ?
