Hi there,

I am looking for advice on maximising my change of getting my F1 visa. I am British born in the Uk and lived here all my life. I am a psychiatric nurse here in the UK. I want to convert my nursing to a general nurse which is a 2 year course here in UK.

I have decided to do the course in the USA my sister lives there so I can live with her rent free. I have received my I-20 from the nursing school I applied to for me and my husband who is applying for the F2 visa as my dependant. We are both 35 been married 5 years.

My interview is next monday and the documents I am taking with me are.....

I-20 and admission letter to college,

Sevris Fee Receipt

Letter from my bank stating I have $58,000 dollars in my savings account for immediate withdraw. (I-20 states need $18,000 for fees and living)
Bank statement confirming funds,

Proof of my UK address like gas and telephone bills,

Letter from my employer stating I am taking an unpaid career break from my job to do further training relevent to my career and I remain in full time employment of the NHS. It states on my return my job restarts and I will be eligible for major promotion because of the new qualification I want to get in usa. Letter also confirms I have made arrangments to continue paying my pension contributions while away.

All the immigration forms required.

I have my fingers crossed I will get my visa, I think the most likely question they will ask my husband is what is he going to do while in usa. His answer is going to be "Nothing enjoy the break I have been working since I was 15. Also his job is being kept open for him to"

Anything else we can do, what do you think our chances are?
