Do you need an EAD to apply for AP?

If I use my EAD, then my wife will loose her H4. Unfortunately we didn't apply for my wifes EAD when we applied for mine. We want to travell and will need to apply for Advanced Parole, but would we also need to apply for my wifes EAD or can she get AP with her status simply AOS.

No u do't need EAD for APs. you will need 485 receipts copies for that along with other docs.
