Do you need a job within 2 months of getting OPT?

Is there a rule to find a job within 2 months on OPT? What if the F1 holder cannot find a job within 2 months of OPT? Since the OPT period is 1 year can they not stay in the US for the whole year trying to get a job and working whenever you get one?

Unless you intend to apply for the STEM extension when there is a limit to unemployment time.

If you plan to work on OPT and did not understand my response, you need to do some reading about the OPT program on the USCIS and DOS sites so you understand the rules and regulations you will be expected to follow.

If you have a college degree and cannot do this, you have a big problem!
