We are Germans living in Canada. We applied/are sponsored for the EB-3-GC. Our I-140 is approved and our PD is 02/06 ROW.
Our lawyer has already received visa fee bills and the DS-230 I from the NVC. End of september '07 we sent des DS-230 and the documents to her (visa fee bills were paid about6 weeks earlier). The NVC even asked for the original documents, which they have now.
We also have a case # for the consulate in Montreal. My question is now : Does anyone know how long it might take now ? As our PD is not more current according to the October VB, I don't want to wait years until we get our original certificates back ?
Or is the CP really independent from the cut-off dates in the VB once you've reached a point in your application - like paying the visa fees or the NVC requesting the original certificates and documents.
And what about the Medical. Did anyone go through it here in Canada ?
