Why you wouldn't check http://www.eda.admin.ch/washington_emb/e/home/consular/visas.html and/or call Swiss Embassy if you are not sure - ONLY they can provide you with the most genuine information. Nobody knows your personal details here, your citizenship, etc. Don't be lazy! ;) In my case, I don't need anything (except my valid passoprt) to go to or through Switzerland but I don't think this answer helps to you.

I don't understand your problem. This site is to share personal expereinces and that is what I am trying to gather. Let me know if you have got consistent answers from any country's embassy when it comes to Transit visa. I have gone to embassies to get transit visa only to hear that I don't need a transit visa.

If you don't know or do not want to answer, don't post a reply. I have always responded to people's question and I know there are plenty of folks on this forum who are willing to help others.

Well, Csch1wait, "my problem" is that some people even don't try to read this forum (I even don't want to talk about looking for information elsewhere) before posting THEIR OWN question. It looks like only PERSONAL ANSWER counts. Yes, I usually get all information from embassies when I need. And yes, I agree that this forum is the best place to share personal experience about immigration and it benefits many. But why not to use the search option before asking? Exactly the same question of reach_honey was answered here: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=142495&highlight=swiss . No offence, but sometimes I need to make some efforts to solve my problem/question before I can get help from others.

Well, I did use the search featue and that's how I came across reach_honey's post, but apparently the wrong one. Thanks for finding the correct post for me.
