Do we need transit visa for Paris

Hi

We are flying from EWR(Newark Airport,NJ) on 16 October to NewDelhi,India. Myself and my wife are Indian Citizen and my daughter is US citizen and currently both of us are holding EAD and Advance Parole.My question is: We are taking AirIndia flight which goes via Paris to NewDelhi and it stops over at the Paris airport for 1 hr, but per our understanding we are not allowed to leave the plane during that time. Do we still require Tranit visa ?.

I did trvael on AP without Transit Visa thru Paris..having confirmed Ticket of outbou

I sent mail to French counsulate in Bombay (India) & they responded back to me that - I do not require transit visa, If I have "confirmed ticket" of outbound flight immediatly after reachinjg Paris.

I was carying the print out of French counsulate response with me, in case someone tries to hold me on Paris airport.

Pl send e-mail & check what French Consultae says...

You don't need a transit visa if you have a valid US visa to come back and you're not staying in Paris.

The US visa on my passport stands expired when I will travel to India.
But will have ne Notice of Action (H1-B approval notice)
Will that suffice to not to have transit visa ?

Please let me know.

Do need transit Visa

One of my friend received the following message from france consulate.

For a transit airport less than 6 hours, YOU DO NOT NEED any visa

NOT True...If you are lucky, they may not check..

No....French cops were very particular for all of us who came from Bombay flight..As my son got off from air-port transit bus, he was taken to side & was asked for PP, Visa. My son showed him AP & he was lookin at my son from - top to bottom. (My son was having PP photgraph when he was 7-8 year old & now he is 15 and his face is quite changed). Meanwhile, I got off from air-port transit bus & cop asked me where I am heading for & asked me to show "Boarding Passes" of outbound flight to USA..

fyi..Our transit time on Paris air port to catch USA flight was two & half hours...

seems like lot of confusion...So, in a nutshell can any body confirm this for 100%sure if we don't need transit visa if we are not going to out of the plane ?.
 
I just returned from India trip via paris

and per french consulate website you need a air transit visa if you don't have a VALID US VISA, and AP is not a Visa hence you should get the transit visa to have a sound sleep. The officers were on board in paris to verify the documents while i was returning.

Having said this, don't ask again that some X returned without any transit visa. It all depends how peaceful you want to have your trip ;-)

I concur with srichalam. According to the rule you need a transit visa if you don't have a valid visa. Not everybody is lucky not to be checked.

Transit Visa for Singapore

I am in a similar situation.I have EAD/AP and H1B Expired last month. I am travelling by Singapore Airlines halting in Singapore for more than 2 hours.
Do I need to have transit visa in Singapore for going to india as well as while coming back.
Help is much appreciated
