Do we need to send birth certificate with OCI application?

Hello,
Do we need to sent birth certificate with OCI application, or the copy of the Indian passport is enough? Shoud we notorize the passport copy? Thank you!

You can send in your Indian birth certificate in place of your Indian passport if your birthdate falls within:

Any person born in India on or after 26 January 1950 but prior to the commencement of the 1986 Act on 1 July 1987 was a citizen of India by birth.

The birth certificate in this case is sufficient to establish your eligibilty to become a citizen of India.
