Hi all,

I have made appointment for in-laws in July through ttsvisas. They have
appointment on 16th of this month. Do we need to reconfirm the appt.?
If so, how many days in advance do I have to do that?

Thanks

yes

My mother has appointment for 15th.
I sent an e-mail to chennai consulate and they
informed that I need to reconfirm through tts website,
which i did.

Thank You nagasng

How many days in advance can we do that?
Do you have to take a print out of reconfirmation?

Good luck with your mother's visa.

I just did it one month ahead.
The system does not give any
receipt. It just says thanks for
reconfirmation (without any info).

Thank you

Meanwhile we have sent an email to ttsvisas and got the reply stating that
it is not mandatory. But I already reconfirmed. Also one of my friend said
that when he did not reconfirm for his parents visa appointment he got an
email asking to reconfirm. For their in-laws they did it ahead and didn't
get any notification.

my mother got the visa for 6months.
Questions asked.
1) who is sponsoring you
2) how many kids do you have
3) how long will you stay in US
4) how much property do you have
Thats all it seems.

In-laws got visa too

Nagasng,

Congrats on the visa for your mother.
My in-laws got the visa too.

Questions are asked
1. Why are you going to US?
2. Have you been there before?
3. How long will you stay in US?
4. What is your son-in-law doing?
5. Is your daughter working?
6. What is their status in US?

When my in-law was pulling out papers from the envelope to give them the
copy of green card, the officer at the consulate told him that it is not
necessary and asked them to pay the visa fee.

They only took the visa application, DD and photos.
