DO We need NON AVIALABILITY BIRTH CERTIFICATE to file I-485 ?

I just got affidavits from my mother and father.

Those affidavits OK ?

If you do not have Birth Certificate then you need the “NON Availability of Birth Certificate” along with 2 affidavits to file I-485 and same is required for the dependents.
You can get NON AV Certificate from Municipality of you were born in City.
If you were born in Village then your Relative or your Father should go to Tahsil or District and Go to the office of The Registrar of Birth and death for your area. Make an application for your Birth certificate, the Clerk will say come after 1 week, give some… to him, he can issue the NON Availability in one day and will get the stamp of Astt Registrar on Non Availability certificate. Do not tell the Clerk that you need it for USA; he will charge more; just tell him it is needed for Job.
If the Non Availability certificate is not in English take the Certificate to Notary Public and get it translated in English and it should be typed on Stamp Paper and stamped by Notary as True Translation of Non Availability certificate.
If you are from Gujarat or Punjab side all Notary know how to do it and they know the purpose and also stamp the Translated copy as “Valid also out of India”

Try to get 2-3 Copies of that translated Notarized copy and keep it with you for the future.

You only need to send Copy of Non Availability Certificate + copy of your parents Affidavits with I-485, You should keep the Originals with you. If you are from Bombay don’t go to Main Municipality office VT they will confuse you, If you need from Bombay let me know I will let you know the short cut one of my friend just got it from Bombay after so many rounds to different offices.

In most of the states in India Birth Record are not available before 1971.
