Do we need current H1b visa stamping before spouse goes for H4??
Dear Friends,
I am currently on H1B and working in the US. My visa was stamped in India in
2005. at that time I was with my previous employer (XYZ). I shifted to another company(ABC) few months back and have a New H1 document but still my visa on the passport is stamped with the old employer (XYZ). This visa is valid till end of 2007. I will be getting married this year.
My question is -
1)
is it OK if i have my previous companies(XYZ) valid visa stamping and my spouse gets her visa stamped with my current company H4???
OR
do i need/have to first go and get my visa stamped with my current employer (ABC) before my spouse can go for her H4 visa stamping ???
2)
will I need to be present during her H4 stamping process in India??
Please let me know if you have gone through this case before and what is the
correct action to take.
