Hi,
A friend just told me, that I can apply for Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for my parents and in-laws...fyi, they have visited the US on a B1 visa this year.
Additionally(obviously), my friend also said that I can claim Tax Deductions for them using their ITINs.
My question is: Is the above correct? Is this allowed? Is it legal? Have any of you done this before?
Thank you,
-RG
