Do u think that INS is gonna keep their promise about backlog elimination and we all going to get GC by the end of 2006? In my opinion they might....

Every govt entity sets goals for themselves in order to support themselves when they are audited. Like our goal at USPS is to have 3 month software releases instead of monthly....Has it been met? Nopee!! However when we are audited at the end of the year, we will show that we had a process in place to eliminate monthly releases but we couldn't meet it because of "X number" of reasons..

This is all a dog and pony show. Do not believe in anything USCIS says about backlog elimination. They have been talking about it since Clinton took office.
Unless there is congressional mandate that says an application should be processed in 60 days, nothing will happen.

There is no need to eliminate backlog but when there is a law that states it, then the need becomes a priority.
