Do they send Receipt Notice about Processing EAD's?

Gurus please advise/help clear the clouds:

I sent out the application I-765 for EAD today and knowing that the processing times are usually- give or take '90 day period'; (a long time) my query is...

Do they also send out a recieved (and/or processing) receipt notice in the interim period before the final determination et least? [Just similar like they do for H1-B's???]

You see I was wondering if that's true; I could at least use the receipt to renew my Driver's License!
Please write a quick response if somebody knows the answer...

Yes -- they do send you a receipt notice for I-765 (paper filed ones at least).
You can track the EAD application using that receipt number (WAC or LIN or .... )

You should get the receipt within a week or so.

BTW, NSC is super-fast these days processing EADs --- my renewal EAD was approved in less than 25 days .... there are many others who've gotten approvals within 30-35 days.

Thanks max2k1! yes, I paper filed only and it sure is good to know that the receipt may even arrive within a week or so! That would work out nicely for the immediate need to renew my license! :o
...and I sure hope the EAD itself comes out soon and just like those fast dates you have mentioned! Keeping my fingers crossed for that... :rolleyes:
