Do the spouse need a US visa to be added to GC

My I-485 is getting current on april 1. I am planning to get married but looks like it will easily take 3-4 months before she can come to the US on H4 visa.
Can I add her name to the GC process before she gets her H4?
How many days does it take, these days, for the I485 to get approved after it becomes current?

If she is applying for AOS, spouse needs to be present in US on valid non-nommigrant status, otherwise she can file CP at home cousulate. Eitherway visa numbers should be available and you should be legally married.
If you GC gets approved before marriage, be prepared to wait for 5-6 years to get her GC.
