do originals have to be sumbitted with ds230?

hi all

could you please advise as to whether original birth, marriage certificates have to be submitted to nvc at the time of sending ds230 or only shown at time of interview in chennai.
also when is it advisable to get pcc?

No need to send Originals to NVC, you will have to take them to the Consulate.

A good time would be to apply for PCC when your case gets created at NVC.
