DO or SC ?

I was just looking at the envelope in which I had received my 2nd interview letter few days back. FYI, my first interview never took place back in Jan of this year since my file was not transferred to the local DO from the service center (in my case TX) and coz of some additional USCIS checks. I was told that the local DO would be rescheduling my interview. I was advised that I'll probably be getting a letter from the DO and not from the SC. How far is this information true? I was just curious, coz my 2nd interview notice came from the service center directly just like the last time. Not that it makes any difference to me, but I hope my DO has my file and is now ready for the interview this time.

Let me know what your thoughts are on this. In the past I have always got good feedback & responses from Hurracan, boatbod, brb2 and many more.

My take is that the SC schedules the interview (some say the DO "pulls" file ready for interview). It is difficult to find out if your file has reached the DO. Only the day of the interview you can find out. The probability that they have goofed up a second time is very low. I think you should be fine. Just relax

SC schedules the interview around the same time they send the file to the DO. Not sure how this is modified for the 2nd attempt - probably they just schedule the interview and make sure they don't still have the file. I wish you better luck this time!
