Do not miss J1 Approval Notice for I-140/485

I got local office interview for my I-485 and got approval.
Here is my experience. That mistake made me spend another one year.

My case was EB1-EA(ND Oct.2002)(unusual to have interview but I know the reason why) and I found that my previous attorney did not include one very important document (my case was J1 waiver approval notice). I realized that he does this kind of things because he can get more money from the applicants to do more work for RFE or interview (those are another $1000-3000). Actually I fired him once I got a RFE for my I-140. My new attorney, he is good, told me that it should be included and that should be triggered the interview.

You need to check all documents(you gave to attorney to file I140/485) once again NOT to trigger any further action from service center.

One interesting thing is that I sent some Tax documents when I sent RFE reply for I-140. My attorney said it will be thrown away once they receive it because those are for I485. But she had all tax documents etc. So I think it is good chance to send such documents or missing ones in case you get a RFE for your I-140.
