Do I really need to file G28 if invoking AC21?

Hi All,

I am about to change jobs using AC21. My 140 is approved and my 485 has been pending over 180 days..easily. The job description of new job is similar of labor description of old job.

My questions:

1.) New company does not know I am using AC21 or even pending greencard...do they need to really know?

2.) Should I file G28 immediately after leaving old job?

3.) At this point since I am really waiting for 485 approval via email do I need to hire another lawyer myself? I'd rather not as it is expensive. If need be I can renew AP and EAD on my own if 485 not approved by then. Will also file AC21 by myself to.

4.) Do I need to even file AC21 at this point? PD is Oct 2001 and expect to get it approved by Aug this year (thats my guess on retrogression). :mad:

Please advise.

You don't necessary have to file AC21 right now. If you get an RFE for employment verification you can file for AC21 then.
 
All your questions very much applicable to my case...so i'll on look out for all the answers too........good luck
