Do I really need 2nd FP. Please see.

I applied for I-140 under EB-2 NIW category in middle of 2005. Approved. Being from India PD retrogreesed so 485 processing stopped.
Got FP done and it is now expired since more than 15 months have passed by.
No 2nd FP done yet.

Then applied for an another I-140 under EB-1A self petition. Got approved. Filed another 485 based on EB-A, still pending. Got FP done for this application in 3/2007.

Question: Although my 1st FP has expired for EB-2 they still have my new finger prints for my EB-1A application. As far as I know the FP results are tagged with your A# which is same for all I-140 as a485. So do you think that since they have my new FPs for my Eb-1 application that is why they did not give me 2nd FP notice for my Eb-2 petition.

I called and came to know that my security clearance is not complete. Can this be reason or above reason are more valid.

Your opinion please.

as long as you have active FP you should be ok.. i would recommend taking infopass and talking to IO.

I recommend that you go and get FP taken again if you have an FP notice. You cannot assume that their processes are air-tight. For instance, my AP was approved almost two weeks after my GC was approved. Same A# on both...
