Hey guys,

I am thinking of applying under EB1. I have the following credentials and wanted to get opinions on my chances of approval.

1. PhD In Biomedical Engineering from one of the top 15 schools in the US.
2. Close to 3 years of work experience in the Research and Development Informatics Department in one of the biggest Biotech company in the world (My title is Sr. Business Analyst but I am doing a lot of research work in the company as well).
3. I am also due for a promotion within my company only after which I will start my application (hoping it will make my case stronger).
4. I hold a Adjunct Faculty position in the Biomedical Physics Department at a university (ranked within top 100 in the US).
5. I have received several (4 to be precise) performance awards at my company.
6. My project was mentioned in the department accomplishments during monthly review
7. Co-Editor (total 3 including me) for book I am publishing in the research area I have worked with a leading publishing group. This I believe should be very powerful since other researcher will send articles to be published in the book.
8. Written One book chapter
9. I have 2 journal papers (first author), 8 conference papers (first author) and 4 Posters.
10. Did several presentation worldwide in reputable conferences
11. I have reviewed 3 journal and 1 conference papers for reputable journal and conference
12. Wrote 1 grants during my PhD as a lead author and partly involved in another.
13. Received full scholarships and travel awards during my PhD
14. Can produce 10 recommendation letters (couple from outside US as well)
15. Actively participating in various Social Service groups for improving society.

What do you guys think?
Really appreciate your time and comments.

I do believe that for engineers the following three are the criteria to focus on
1) scholarly publication (ANY paper + chapter)
2) contribution to the field (citation + recoms)
3) judge of work of peers (reviews)

Based on these, I think your chances are on little bit slim.

O/c this is only my opinion.
Good luck.
