My 485 has pending with CSE since Dec 03. (the famous FBI name check). 140 approved in Oct 04. I have now decided to relocate back to my home country. Do i need to formally infrom USCIS about it and withdraw the app or else can i just let it continue to be pending.
also can i recieve the card abroad IF it ever gets approved.

would appreciate response from gurus or anyone who has done this kind of thing.

Thx

Either you can leave it as it is, or write a letter to USCIS requesting to withdraw. If you are EB3 and from those countries who are affected by visa n umber, withdrawing your I-485 will probably help another person to obtain your visa number quicker. Technically, once you move back to your country without any Advance Parole (assuming you are abanonding your dual-intent visa too, if you have any at all), your I-485 is automatically considered abandoned.

No. If you leave country without advance parole, your I-485 is abandoned. Therefore, there is no question of getting card abroad. USCIS never sends card abroad.
