Do I need to transfer my 486 case from VSC to NSC? Please give some ideas.

I will move from New England to NSC region. I was told if I change address my cases (486/765/131) probably will be transfered to NSC. I checked USCIS web site. For 486 processing, VSC is June 2003, while NSC is in 2002.

Do you guys think it is good NOT to change address, so my cases may be processed earlier?

Is there any other concerns I need to consider of?

My 765/131 are pending for two months in VSC. I can't work or travel. I'm now thinking of change address for only those two cases, hoping to push them be approved soon. Is it reasonable?

Thanks!

----> It is up to them. They may or may not change your center based on your address change. And btw, it is 485 not 486 (they don't work on computers there u see ;-))

----> No guarantees that it would expedite ur case. It may delay it. And btw, NSC has had bunch of Jan-Sep 2003 approvals, so don't just go by the posted processing date.

----> If I were you, I would hang tight. There is no point in further muddying up the waters. The address change would most probably delay ur case further. You can talk to ur local senator.

Thanks!

goodluck!

I am not sure what's 486 is. But for 485, the finger-printing location, GC-stamping, etc are done at the local CIS office. So, address matters in this case. Talk with your attorney.

You should change your address when you move to new place. It is law. For processing your case, it is only up to USCIS no matter what processing time is. Sometimes they approved earlier and suprisingly or they approved late.
