Do I need to renew my wife's EAD ?

I am working on EAD and my wife's EAD is expiring this march 02 but she is not working. To maintain the immigration status for my wife do I need to renew the EAD or just the pending 485 will do ? Please advise. Thanks.
 
First of all
What is I-485 : Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status - I think your wife has applied.

EAD or I-765 which is "Application for Employment Authorization". She can work till she is authorized.

Both are different.
