Do I need to have a Visa stamp to File I-485?

I got my 3 year extention on H1 and H4 but I have not got it stamped since I do not have a need to travel abroad yet. I have an approved I-140 in EB-3 and by God's grace if a time comes, to file I-485 and I have to send the required documents, do I have to have a visa stamping in my passport for my H1 and wife's H-4?

visa stamping only needed for travel...

i assume that you have a valid I-94, with your H1/H4 approval notices??

No, you just need to be in status.
