do i need to go for stamping...plz respond.

my case is approved on july08...my family is not here right now. They will be back in september....do i need to go for stamping...or they will mail our cards within few weeks...If stamping required, can i wait till september...
Any suggestion or views.

You might not like it if they send you a card with a monkey's face on it :D. You better to go for stamping and provide your own ADIT pictures, before they make your card.

Yes, you can wait till september, but you don't need to wait (unless you feel it's hectic to go for stamping twice).

I had answered your question on the Plastic Card Tracker thread.

You will have to go for stamping and provide 2 ADIT pictures as well as fingerprints for each applicant. These two are necessary for them to generate your card.

There is no time limit for stamping. Do you have the original approval notices from your attorneys yet?

Does you family have valid APs when they return in September or whenever it is planned?

If it is possible, would be nice to get your family to prepone their trip and get the stamping done at the earliest.

Card Generation will not happen automatically. Only after you all finish stamping will the physical card generation part start.

Cool - that's one long vaction :D

That's a better idea because they are already GC holders. Getting stamped is not an issue, but a reasonable reason to convince POE officer why a GC holder staying such a long time abroad.
