I have H1B visa stamp on my passport till 2010 from my previous employer, recently I changed my job and got the new I-797 approved till 2011. I am planning to visit India in 2009, I have following questions

1. Do I need to go for H1B stamping in India for the new visa If my old H1B stamped in passport is valid?

2. If I come on my old H1B visa and show the new I-797 at the port of entry what question the officer can ask me?

3. If I come on my old H1B visa and for some reason the employer had canceled my H1B visa which is stamped in my passport, than will the officer allow me to enter.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

1. no need.
2. usually no questopns, just show new I-797 to the officer at POE.
3. yes he will. your visa in the passport is to get in to the country and your new I-797 proves your status in the country.

Hello everyone..please advice here...Is this true?, any change in new H1B1 law?, Normally they wull allow candidate based on the approval of the H1B1 and also thew same company visa stamping on the passport right?

When the password as Company A stamping and when you are working for Company B, how will the post of entry will allow the person to enter with company B H1B1 without company B stamping?...Please advice..ITS URGENT.

This is nothing new. Name of company on Visa does not matter, you need a current job letter, current petition approval notice and valid visa for entry.
