Do I need to give I94 when I depart US and planning to come back on AP?

Hi,

I am going to China next week. I am on H1B, it will expire in next year, and I am planning to come back on AP to avoid the trouble of getting visa at China. Do I need to return my I94 when I depart US and Do I need to fill a new I94 form when I come back using Advance Parole?

I don't have my original I485 copys, hope that is okay.
