Hi, I'm trying to bring my fiancee over from Japan. The petition was approved in the US and sent on to the embassy in Japan. The consulate sent my fiancee a packet of stuff for me to fill out, including DS-2000 and I-134 forms, before she can schedule her interview.
I filled out the DS-2000 form, and sent proof of my ability to support her financially, including several paychecks, a signed verification of my account balance from my bank, and a copy of the deed to my house.
However, I did *not* fill out the I-134 form. I was under the impression, from reading the instructions on the DS-2000 form, that it wasn't necessary to fill out an I-134 if I provided the DS-2000 with all that other stuff. However, now I've heard from several people that I *do* need the I-134 form after all. So which is it? My fiancee can schedule her interview as soon as I get this cleared up.
