I am changing my apartment just beside to my present one ..Whole address is same except apt# . Do I need file address change form AR-11 ?

Hmm . very interesting question.
If I were you, I'd file the change of adress .. just to be on the safe side. You never know what they're gonna do to you if they discover that you've moved even an inch from your previous address (including apt #).
INS and some other gov't forms have a separate column/field for Apt number. They can make it a big deal!

Better to file AR-11,else there is a risk of your correspondences going to old apt# and you missing them.

I am moving to new APT this month end, so any thing else I need to do apart from sending AR-11 address change form to INS .

be in good terms with the new tenant of the old aprtment. Don't inform abt the address change. It may delay GC process. INS mails won't be redirected to the change of address mention in the post office. Even if u notify post office all other mails will be redicted to you except INS mails. Ask the new tenant to notify you of the INS mails posted on your name.

If I recall right you have your approval all you are waiting for is your card right? Now why tempt fate by not filing your AR11? It is the law and you know that.
Just file the damn form AND call VSC and let them know. If your cards have been sent then just ask your neighbor to keep an eye out for them ( You might wait for the cards before you let the post office know of your move, I think there is no rule that you need to let the PO know of your move). If the cards have not been sent then there is no problem the VSC IIO will make the change to reflect the new address and the cards will be sent to the new place. Anyway your call.
While I am at it, you might want to let the DMV know of your address change, I believe that's the law too. <sigh>

Last week we got the cards, so we are all set ..I am changing apt from townhome to 2bed in order to save money bcos I lost the job a month ago .. So as per your replies I guess I need to apply for AR-11 even my new apt is beside to my present one ..
