I want to apply for 8th year extension and I got the 45day letter, so do I need the screen shot of 45 day letter from uscis or can I apply for extension based on this letter.
How many days before do we have to apply for extension?

you don't need a screen shot, but your lawyer can request one.
you can apply for h1b, 6 months no earlier than 6 months, from the date the current one expires. example: if you current H1b is valid till Dec,01,2006, then you can apply for 8th yr anytime after June1st, 2006.
