Do I need fresh visa stamping to travel out and into US ?

Hi,

I was planning to make a 3-day visit to Canada. My current US visa is valid till 18th December 2009 and is on a L1 petition from my ex-company A.

Now I have made a COS to H1B and got my H1B transfer approved through new company B. Will I need to get a fresh visa stamping to be able to re-enter USA ?

Please let me know.
 
30 day visits to Canada, Mexico and Caribbean are allowed without valid visa. You may need a Canadian visa though.
