Hi,

Just wondering, we're using a joint sponsor, and I sent in his tax forms and copies of some paystubs, our interview is next week is it absolutely necessary for me to bring an employment letter from him? if so what must it say? (I'm a little uncomfortable asking him to give me a letter with all his financial information in it, and also not sure how easy or convenient it will be for him to get it.)

Thanks...

You can simply bring most recent paystubs, a couple months worth, and your tax returns from most recent tax years.

The letter of employment is simple

It contains the following
name of employee
Hire Date
Current position or title
Avergae number of hours worked per week
Salary or Hourly Compensation

It is usually typed on company letter head OR simply signed by Human resources Associate, Manager or immediate Supervisor.

It helps to show eveidence of current employment, it is not mandatory but it will further establish Sponsors ability to support Applicant.

I reccomend bringing it.

Thanks a lot addie...

I did send paystubs of my joint sponsor when I applied 5 months ago (I sent for three months)... Does that mean I need to ask him again for paystubs since then or can I just show the copied I have from then?

Is that sufficient instead of the employment letter or did you mean that is above the paystubs?

Thanks

YOU need to Bring Paystubs to the interview, or as much eveidence from your joint sponosr as possible.
Even if you sent them in with your origianl I-864
You still have to BRING Evidence to interview

Paystubs, W2's , Employment letter, Recent tax returns

Have you received an interview letter yet? If so READ IT! It clearly states what to bring, Follow the instructions on the letter if you do not then expect the possibility for them to NOT approve your case and ask you to send in the evidence before they approve.
