Do I need a working visa to work if living abroad?

Hello, I am web developer from South America, and living in South America.

I were wondering if I necessity a working visa to work for US company IF I WILL NOT MOVE TO THE UNITED STATES.

In different words, I will remain in my South America country while working for US company, which IS located in the US.

I plan to do this by producing the software in my country, then, send software via internet to USA.

I think I not necessity a working visa for such a situation.

Please tell me if I am correct.

Visa in general allows you to enter a foreign country. You do not need a visa to do business with a foreign country.
