Dear All, I recently changed my employer and i currently have my new H1-B (I-729) permit with me but in my passport i still have the old employer's visa stamp which is valid till 2005.

My question is , do i need a new visa stamp in my passport for the new employer ? i am planning to visit india in couple of months . if i were to return to usa with my new H1-B ( I-729) but with the old employer's visa stamp (which is still valid till 2005) is it acceptable? can i enter into the usa? or can i go to canada to get my visa stamped for my new employer?

any help in this regard is majestically appreciated..

TIA

I am assuming you already know the difference between VISA and status.

Your old visa is still valid unless your old employer has specifically writtern to the USCIS to have it cancelled. (Employers are suppossed to do this, but many don't).

You can hold multiple H1B visas simultaneously, and use any one to enter.
